First Lady Melania Trump has hired a Chief of Staff to manage her East Wing operations, the White House announced Wednesday. Lindsay Reynolds, who according to a statement served in the White House under George W. Bush and has over 14 years of political and event-planning experience, according to a statement by Trump. Reynolds is reportedly also serving as an assistant to the President. As one of her first tasks, she is reportedly renovating the White House public tour route.
Also on Wednesday, just hours after a tabloid reported that Trump and son Barron may never not move into the White House, the First Lady’s senior adviser Stephanie Winston Wolkoff clarified her plans. She told ABC News that Mrs. Trump will be moving to D.C. this summer.
“Mrs. Trump will be moving to D.C. and settling into the White House at the end of the school year, splitting her time between New York and D.C. in the meantime,” Wolkoff said. “Mrs. Trump is honored to serve this country and is taking the role and responsibilities of the First Lady very seriously.”
