Anna Wintour is showing her support for Planned Parenthood at New York Fashion Week.
The New York Times‘ fashion writer Vanessa Friedman tweeted that the Vogue editor in chief sported a “Fashion Stands with Planned Parenthood” pin on her scarf for the first day of fashion shows. The Council of Fashion Designers of America distributed the pins to raise awareness for the women’s health organization.
This isn’t the first time Wintour has gotten political: she strongly supported Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, and Vogue even issued its first-ever presidential endorsement in favor of Clinton. But after the election, the high-powered editor met with Donald Trump, and she said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal that First Lady Melania Trump would likely appear in the glossy.
